Turkish fir is sometimes confused for and is similar to Nordmann fir but is a different species. The main difference is that the needles are flatter on the stem. Turkish Christmas tree needles radiate out more from the stem.

This tree has needles that have a dark silvery-green underside, which is very attractive and gives the tree a unique two-tone shimmery look. Turkish fir Christmas trees are becoming popular with consumers. Its sturdy branches will hold heavy ornaments, and needles are retained for a long time indoors if the tree is kept watered. At Santa’s sleigh we offer both Turkish Fir and Nordmann Fir but because we have limited numbers of both we reserve the right to interchange the species as supplies allow. Turkish Fir and Nordmann Fir are both Hypoallergenic for customers or family members who are allergic to Christmas trees.

Turkish Fir Christmas trees have several desirable properties. They have a dark-green appearance, strong durable branches, excellent needle retention and attractive form. Turkish Fir Christmas trees are also hypoallergenic.
